Principal's Corner

Chris Sullivan

Welcome!  I hope everyone is refreshed and ready for the best school year yet. Things have been buzzing and hopping around here with seismic upgrades and the construction of a whole new wing. The entire campus now looks spectacular. You’ll notice many new faces around here too, including mine. As a staff, we’ve been crafting new systems, fiestas, and assorted learning opportunities for Jefferson kids. Expect great things.

A BIT ABOUT ME...

I’ve been an educator of some sort for over two decades. In that time, I’ve worked as a classroom teacher, an outdoor educator, an instructional assistant, an English Language Development teacher, and an art teacher. I’ve taught every grade preschool through 6th across the Pacific Northwest and occasionally in Mexico. I’m now in my 8th year of principaling and I love it. Just for kicks, I also teach college courses in Literacy and Early Childhood Education. When not being the principal, I’m usually found cycling, kayaking, eating tacos, or exploring the world with my little family.

I hope you’ll all enjoy new leadership, student supports, and many other positive changes happening here at JES. If you have questions, concerns, or comments, please feel free to contact me anytime. Feedback from families helps our school continually improve and do great things for kids.

Regards,

Christopher Sullivan
